Vinyl & Sound
Music has always been the starting point of La Cale.
Sound System
When the venue was conceived, the objective wasn't simply to install powerful speakers — it was to create a room where music could be experienced comfortably for hours. The interior of the boat was redesigned with acoustics in mind, combining natural materials, wood finishes and a carefully tuned four-point sound system to deliver balanced coverage across the room.
Rather than focusing on volume, we focus on clarity. Every guest, whether standing near the booth or seated at the bar, should experience the same warmth, detail and energy.
The system has been calibrated specifically for the dimensions and character of the hull, allowing selectors and DJs to play everything from intimate listening sessions to late-night club sets without compromising the experience.
Vinyl & Listening Culture
La Cale Listening Bar was born from a simple idea: not every evening needs to begin on a crowded dance floor.
Inspired by the listening bars of Japan and the growing culture surrounding vinyl around the world, we wanted to create a place where records could be enjoyed with the same attention given to a carefully prepared cocktail.
Our selectors play across house, disco, jazz, soul, Balearic, afro, Brazilian music, downtempo and electronic music, choosing records for the atmosphere they create rather than their popularity. Every session is different, shaped by the room, the people and the time of day.
Vinyl isn't a nostalgic exercise for us. It's another way of slowing down, listening more carefully and discovering music that deserves to be heard.
The Equipment
To support that philosophy, La Cale Listening Bar is equipped with professional-grade playback equipment, including Technics turntables and a rotary-inspired approach to mixing that encourages longer transitions, careful selection and dynamic storytelling throughout the evening.
The technology serves the music — not the other way around.
