Fechta! with Disco Arabesque & Guedra Guedra
Disco Arabesquo, Guedra Guedra
This event has already happened — here's what it looked like.
Fechta! returns to reclaim the dancefloor for the region’s futuristic, funky and forgotten sounds. Headlining is Disco Arabesquo, the alias of Moataz Rageb — an Egyptian, Amsterdam-based DJ, sociologist and cassette collector who built his name digging through Cairo’s disco and boogie tapes, work that led to his Sharayet El Disco release with WeWantSounds and his latest project, AYAM EL DISCO, an eleven-track archive spanning artists like Hamid El Shaeri and Ahmed Adaweya. Guedra Guedra joins in support, moving the night from rare vinyl archives into heavier, bass-driven territory. Doors open at 23:00, tickets are 150 DH — expect Arabic music, rare grooves and edits pulled straight from tape and turntable, no orientalist clichés attached.
